My name is Sarah. I was born on Labor Day, September 2, 1991. Now that I’m older I know why my mom’s friend laughed at me when I used to say, “I went into labor with my mommy,” at age five.
Somewhere around eighth grade I was told I needed to know what I wanted to be when I grew up so I could plan courses in my four years of high school accordingly. I decided on a journalist because I enjoyed writing. Going back further to fifth grade, I got my first film camera for Christmas. I have made major upgrades in camera choice since then. Onward to the present, I recently realized that my hobby as a photographer and my career choice as a journalist can go hand in hand. Beginning August 28, I will begin my journey through college, aspiring to be a photojournalist.
I was a published author by the second grade when two of my poems were accepted into some sort of a poetry book series. In my senior year of high school I was one of the editors for both the yearbook and student newspaper.
My other interests include singing in a choir, making music videos, occasionally reading a book, stumbling on the internet (www.stumbleupon.com), and going on road trips.
I am terrified of tornadoes, I hate the dark, and I am also that obnoxious person in the movie theater that screams during scary movies during the not-so-scary parts.
If you want to know more about me you’re just going to have to follow along in my blogs and learn =]
